With the recent land victory for First Nations in BC, Clover Point is closing a long working relationship with Woodward & Co. and the BC Supreme Court. Our GIS team has worked on the Xeni gwet'in/Nemiah Valley project since the early beginnings in the late 90's with original analog maps from Ken Brealey. article

Clover Point Cartographics has released an online asset management tool. Asset Tracking Anywhere (www.assettrackinganywhere.com) is designed to manage, organize and control any type of company asset over a large geographic area. Clover Point's mapping, programming and business analysts have developed this application after years of consultation with their clients. The application is currently being used by companies tracking staff training, monitoring data on physical assets, supervising construction and creating strategic plans.
Mapsheet Pro v1.9 - Automated Map Generator

Mapsheet Pro v1.9 is now available. This custom automated mapping tool has been migrated to the ArcGIS 9.2 platform allowing it to take advantage of ESRI's industry leading map making software. Agencies previously feeling limited with their GIS and mapping data can now release the power of their information through Mapsheet Pro.

Natalie Work :: GETTING TECHNICAL WITH FIFA

Natalie Work spends her daytime hours as a graphical and geographical technician with Clover Point Cartographics, a map making company nestled next to the cruise ship terminal in Victoria, BC. In her spare time, she coaches and plays soccer. This past week, Natalie has been moonlighting as a volunteer mapmaker of another kind. She is mapping 'the game' with FIFA's Technical staff for the FIFA U20 World Cup. Read the whole article.

British Columbia Ministry of the Environment requires a provincial terrain mapping dataset (at 1:50,000 scale) in order to support decision-making, analysis and modeling for a variety of initiatives. Clover Point is taking part in the project and applying key members of our GIS Technical Team on the task.

BC Parks

A map of Goldstream Provincial Park is going online. The map, created by Clover Point Cartographics, will be used as a planning tool for park users and will allow them to search campsites, view trails, measure distances and find points of interest. BC parks plans to have all of their parks online in the near future.
Flood Mapping

A flood mapping project was recently undertaken for the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands and Lands by Clover Point Cartographics. The Ministry's original hardcopy maps have now all been scanned and put online for all interested parties to access. This project is giving those on the flooding front lines up-to-date and accurate information wherever and whenever they need it and helping public safety.
